Week 2 (20th-24th September)

This week I have been introduced to 3 point lighting, where I had to watch a video on it and then we were walked through the set up in person. I also looked into a company called BARB who show television viewing figures, I also started looking into types of research such as primary, secondary, qualitative and quantitative, market, audience and production research. I then had to create a short 2-3 minute vlog for Sam to describe myself, answering questions such as: what is your name?, what are your interests?, what hobbies do you have? and why do you like media?. I also had to create a new section on my webnode blog called "Studio/Controlled Environment" which I have then explained the importance of having good dry sound recordings and how you can treat rooms to give you a more dry recording space. Finally I had to write a short script about my morning routine when coming into college and then record my voice, I then cut my recording into 15 second sections and added a different effect on each section to show me basic understanding of Adobe Audition.

Week 3 (27th September-1st October)

This week I looked into a couple different how to videos to gain some inspiration which would allow me to start looking towards how I would like my how to video to turn out like. I also made a practice how to video with Austin which allowed me to see how i'd put together a how to video including music, a close up video of whats going on and dialogue.

Week 6 (18th-22nd October 2021)

In this week I have started my pre production work this includes my initial ideas mind map, my proposal, production schedule, location recce and shot list in preparation for production week.
